Recently TheFVC sat down with director Anthony Vescio and producer Evan Pease from the award winning Buffalo-based production team known as Ma’s Meatloaf, to learn more about their new feature film entitled Granted, which was shot entirely in western New York and features some of Buffalo's favorite watering holes, such as Duke’s Bohemian Grove Bar and The Mohawk Place, just to name a few.
In discussing the films location, Vescio reaffirmed his preference for Buffalo as a filming destination “I only make movies in Buffalo…everybody is so supportive”
Granted tells the story of a talented young musician Avery, searching for a spark to pull him out of a depression caused by the death of his girl friend. Finding it increasingly difficult to make music, Avery visits a mystifying room that promises to grant the occupants deepest wish. The resulting tale examines the question “what are you willing to sacrifice to get back what you hold dear?” It is written by Craig Gusman, and directed by Tony Vescio.
